Works on the principle that there is an underlying life force which flows through all living matter. There is, as it were, an ‘energy blueprint’ for the human body and by understanding how energy moves through the body, we can learn how to intervene to restore its proper pathway, should it become disharmonised or blocked.
A Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner uses a system of 26 ‘Safety Energy Locks’ to rebalance energy. These energy locks act as fuses or circuit breakers if the system becomes overloaded.
This can happen as a result of stress, climate, genetic inheritance, over emotionality and lifestyle factors such as overeating or smoking. The practitioners hands act as jump leads to restart another’s blocked energy, just as one car battery can be used to start another.
