Vivienne studied experimental psychology at Sussex University and specialises in the relationship between relaxation and stress. She has been a therapist in the private sector for
25 years since founding the North Wales Clinic of Relaxation in Llanfairfechan in 1986. She taught massage and aromatherapy for the International Therapy Examination Council for many years and now runs courses to help people find their own unique touch to help improve their relationships. One of the original members of the Gwynedd Healing and Peace Group in Pen-y-Groes, she became interested in healing and now practises Jin Shin Jyutsu (a Japanese healing art) which is a fascinating and highly effective form of "acupuncture without needles". She is a qualified counsellor and also practises acupressure, aromatherapy, craniosacral balancing, remedial massage and sports therapy. "We've tried lots of different massage therapists but both my mother and I agree you're the best. I came in like a slow waltz and left like a tango." Karen Jones, Waunfawr, 2007. Vivienne is a passionate enthusiast for complementary medicine and wants to see it accepted and included in mainstream practise.
